To achieve the Mission and Vision, we have decided to work with a teamwork concept. According to responsibilities and activities, which are necessary for the facilitation of Market Integration and other works,the entire workforce of OSAMB has been differentiated into four major cells.
These are:
 
1. Marketing
2. Engineering
3. Publicity
4. Audit & Survey etc.

Apart from that OSAM Board is also involved in other devlopmental works such as :

1.

Implementing several schemes as a part of regulatory measures.

2.

Redesigning the schemes to suit the trading pattern of different RMCs.

Market Survey

Pledge Loan:

This scheme is in operation in some of the affluent Regulated Market Committees. Under this scheme, advance is given to the extent of 60% of the value of the produce pledged for a maximum period of 150 days. On this account, Rs.196.63 lakhs have been provided to farmers.

Free transportation:

This facility is mainly provided to small and marginal farmers in some of the Regulated Market Committees. These Regulated Market Committees have their own transport bring the produces of small and marginal farmers from the nearest roadside to the market yards.

Construction Works:

Under this activity of OSAMB, the engineering cell execute and guide the Regulated Marketing Committees for the preparation of plans, estimation of the cost and supervision of the construction work at their market and sub markets places.

Seminars and Exhibitions:

1.

National Seminars and Exhibitions are being organized by the Board from time to time, to  create awareness regarding the benefits of the market regulations among it's beneficiaries.

 

2.

Agmark Exhibitions had been organised in Nov,' 92 and in Feb.'96 in collaboration with the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection, Govt. of India, to popularise the concept of Agmark and quality consciousness among consumers.

 

3.

The 9th National Conference of Agricultural Marketing had also been organized at Bhubanewswar during Feb.' 96 in collaboration with the Indian Society of   Agriculture Marketing, Jaipur (Rajasthan) and the Orissa University of Agriculture  and Technology (O.U.A.T), Bhubaneswar.

 

Market Survey:

At the initiation of Govt. of India, a detailed market survey is now undertaken in six selected districts viz. Cuttack, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Bolangir, Koraput and Kandhamal to access marketable surplus and post harvest losses of food grains in the State.

Scheme For RMCs:

State Master Plan:

According to the provision of Central Government, Orissa State Master Plan has been prepared in collaboration with R.M.C. staffs with the financial assistance of World Bank. The total cost of preparation of this plan is Rs. 2.50 lakhs. This facility is made available those existing markets, which are in developing stage. Before giving any financial assistance, the following criteria of the Markets are taken into consideration
