The OSAM Board came into being in the year 1984 as per Section-18(A) of the O.A.P.M. Amendment Act, 1984. It is a body corporate responsible for the overall development of the agricultural marketing sector of the state. It is entrusted with the task of superintendence and control over the RMCs for their activities for ensuring good marketing practices in the agriculture sector of the state.
